Where the Rubber Hits the Road

LFL’s Renewal For Life® mission statement is to equip Lutheran congregations to be Gospel-motivated voices For Life. In the local congregation, Renewal For Life® consists of a Life Team Leader and a Life Team. The Life Team Leader is selected by the pastor in prayerful consultation with other leaders in the congregation. The Life Team, then, assists the pastor and the congregation with life issues-related ministry.

Somewhere around fifty-eight million abortions have been committed since. Fifty-eight million babies destroyed and even more lives affected forever because they believed the lie of “choice.”

Who gives value and purpose to life and when does that happen? Value as defined by people is subjective and subject to whims and situations. Value as defined by God is based on who He is as Creator and Redeemer. In a Christian world the fact that life exists determines value.

Follow Me–Make Disciples

I was listening to the radio on my way to work one morning, and heard a song that begins with a question, “If I met Jesus on the street and He said to come and follow me, would I love Him enough to give up everything?” It’s a catchy and moving song I had playing in my head all day, but it really struck me deep. How willing am I to step out on faith to give Him everything?
