In a world laden with struggles, confusion, anger, war, and disease, we realize how important community is.
In fact, we can declare that “togetherness” is one of God’s greatest gifts in life. This togetherness is found in the first institution—family—and the blessings of family reach into the wider community, carrying with it gifts of life from God Himself.
As a Christian community, we also recognize that the church provides a foretaste of the life to come, uniting, strengthening, and preparing us for our heavenly home.
One day we will live in the home God has prepared with all of our brothers and sisters in Christ—our eternal family.
“Once you were not a people, but now you are God’s people; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy” (1 Peter 2:10).
“So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God …” (Ephesians 2:19).
