“Let them thank the Lord for his steadfast love, for his wondrous works to the children of man! And let them offer sacrifices of thanksgiving, and tell of his deeds in songs of joy!” (Psalm 107:21-22)

Have you ever thought of thanksgiving as a “sacrifice”? Old Testament law required such sacrifices as a grain offering, the fruit of the earth (Leviticus 7:11-12).

As New Testament people of God you do not have to offer up your Thanksgiving dinner rolls, but we are asked to offer a “sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that acknowledge his name” (Hebrews 13:15).

We at Lutherans For Life join you in offering the fruit of our lips as a sacrifice of thanksgiving to God for His “steadfast love, for his wondrous works to the children of men.” We thank Him for His gift of life and for His gift of new life in Jesus. And we thank Him for you and all you do to “acknowledge his name” by upholding and defending the sacredness He bestows upon all life.

Because of what you do and your support of Lutherans For Life, we will continue to “tell of his deeds” and apply them to the life issues. That’s what makes us unique. We have a message that actually changes hearts and lives! So once again, we thank God for all He has done and we thank Him for all you continue to do on behalf of LIFE!

May the Lord grant you and your family a blessed Thanksgiving.
