Ever wonder how embryo adoption got started? Come hear Marlene Strege tell her story, including when she posed the following to an adoption agency: “We want to adopt frozen embryos.” Marlene is the first mother to adopt and give birth to a frozen embryo—her daughter, Hannah. Marlene and her husband John adopted 20 frozen embryos that remained from another couple’s IVF treatments. Marlene is passionate about embryo adoption and has been an advocate for embryo adoption for the past 28 years.
