Alice Steljes is a retired accounting instructor (Illinois Valley Community College). She is widowed and the mother of two sons (one deceased), seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren (one deceased). She has several degrees from Illinois State University and is a Certified Public Accountant. She is a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Auburn, Illinois, where she serves as treasurer and is an active member of their Life Team. She also serves as treasurer for the Lutherans For Life of Illinois board.
