Our culture will tell you that death is our friend – maybe not in so many words but rather in statements such as: “Why can’t we help Mom end her suffering?” “I don’t want to be a burden to my family,” “I just want to die with dignity,” “It should be my right to choose when/where I can end my suffering,” “We’re just trying to be compassionate to those who need aid in dying.” In this session, Rev. Scott Licht will look at some of the lies and the truth around the topic of physician-assisted suicide, including the state of related legislation around the country.
