God’s Word tells us, “Say to those who have an anxious heart, ‘Be strong; fear not! Behold, your God will come … and save you’” (Isaiah 35:4). We know as Christians that God did come. The Father sent His only begotten Son into our world as a newborn baby to save us from our sins, take our punishment, and give us eternal life.
