This story came our way from our friends at Lutheran Family Service of Iowa.

Thanking God today for the gift of LIFE for baby Grace, born with Down syndrome and brought into her new family through adoption. This family is the first of hopefully many families participating in Lutheran Family Service’s new Down Syndrome Adoption program, launched early in 2021. Baby Grace is welcomed by all the members of her new family, but perhaps most eagerly by her sister, Cheyenne, who also was born with Down syndrome.

Check here to watch the video of Cheyenne and her amazing family as they first began their Down Syndrome Adoption journey. The good news of Grace’s birth and adoption is just the next step in their family’s journey.

More help is needed so more babies like Grace are born instead of aborted, as over 75% of babies diagnosed in utero with Down syndrome are. Contact Wanda Pritzel, Director of Ministry Support for Lutheran Family Service, at 515.570.2310 or wpritzel@lutheranfamilyservice.org to discuss a special gift in support of the Down Syndrome Adoption program in 2022.
