Deaconess Amanda Nicks joined Lutherans for Life in May 2025. She grew up in Boyne City, Michigan. After graduating from Grand Valley State University, she worked as the office manager for a publishing company for 10 years. Amanda also served on her church’s council as the chair for youth ministry. Her love for theology and learning led her to become a deaconess. While at Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, Amanda volunteered at the local pregnancy center and participated in many life events. In 2021, she graduated from seminary and moved to Sioux Falls to serve as the deaconess at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. She married Bobby in June 2024 and joined him in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Amanda quickly became active in the church and enjoyed leading the women’s Bible study. Less than a year later, Bobby received a job offer that moved them to Texarkana, Texas, where they currently reside. Amanda and her husband are excited to see what God has planned for them.
