Mandi and Ryan Wesley are educators that live north of the Detroit area. Growing up Lutheran, they rejoiced at the thought of having children. When their daughter, Ellie, was born it was a blessing. But trying for a second child led them into a season of frustration and uncertainty. How would God answer their prayers? Would God answer their prayers? They discuss their foray into science and fertility clinics including some of the ethical wrestling they incurred. They also discuss the process of adoption including costs and the emotional rollercoaster ride that is adoption in this age. In the end, Mandi and Ryan rejoice to add Elijah to their family and praise God for all the ways He has shown them grace in the gift of life!
