Toni Larson is a Licensed Independent Social Worker with Lutheran Family Service. She is officed out of Fort Dodge, Iowa, but provides services throughout the state as well as South Dakota and Nebraska via telehealth. She has been with LFS for 13 years and a therapist for 40 years. She is currently Director of Counseling.

Toni has experience in working in numerous settings including outpatient substance abuse, in-home family therapy, school social work, outpatient mental health, inpatient psychiatric mental health, case management for the frail elderly, nursing home social work and hospice. She has experience in marriage and family therapy, individual therapy, group therapy, educational presentations and works with most ages.

Her career reflects a deep commitment to compassionate care and long-term service, shaped by decades of experience across clinical, community, and family-centered settings. Working with individuals, couples, families, and groups has required adaptability, patience, and an understanding of how life transitions, mental health challenges, and social stressors intersect over time.

Leadership responsibilities have added another layer to this work, guiding counseling programs while still valuing the personal connection formed in therapeutic relationships. This background highlights how effective mental health support often grows from steady experience, broad exposure to different care environments, and an approach grounded in listening, education, and respect for people at every stage of life.

This same philosophy carries forward into modern care models where access and flexibility matter more than ever, and platforms like TelepsychHealth extend these principles into the digital space. By connecting patients with licensed clinicians for virtual psychiatric treatment, therapy, and medication management, the platform supports ongoing care without unnecessary barriers, allowing individuals to receive help within familiar environments. Through secure systems and coordinated follow-ups, the service provides continuity while adapting to changing lifestyles and needs, and in doing so provides telehealth services that align clinical expertise with convenience, privacy, and patient-focused support in today’s evolving mental health landscape.
