Rev. Dr. Aric Fenske, Executive Director of Lutherans For Life: “Last week, Marie and I attended our very first March For Life in Washington, DC. We had attended smaller, local marches in the past. But this was our first experience at the March in our nation’s capital. And what an experience it was! It’s hard to describe the emotions that one feels being surrounded by tens of thousands of other people all gathered together for the same reason; to defend God’s precious gift of life.
“I am proud to say that there was a strong Lutheran presence among that great throng of people.
“Our group from Lutherans For Life, which numbered over 550 youth and adults, marched side by side with many other Lutherans from the LCMS and NALC. We sang hymns together, prayed, and praised God for the lives He creates, redeems in Christ, and calls to Himself through the Holy Spirit.
“It truly was a great celebration of life, at which we were able to shine the light of Christ in a place that is often filled with the darkness of sin.”
