Download More Power! For Men Only

“More power!”

During the 1990s, many American men identified with Tim Allen from the T.V. sitcom Home Improvement. They understood his fascination with souped-up engines and high- powered tools.”The more power,” said Tim Allen, “the better!”

Yep. Power is a guy thing.

With power, however, comes responsibility.

First, it’s important to understand who you are and where you come from. Men who believe that they have just evolved from animals often act like animals.”Conquering a woman is just the male nature,” they say. “Look at a pack of male dogs around a female dog!”

But men who believe they are created higher than the animals with the ability to make unselfish choices are men who treat women with respect and care. These are men who don’t look at women as “objects for sexual pleasure” but as persons with heart and soul.

There is something irresistible about a man who is strong enough to protect both women and children.

There is something irresistible about a man who loves others as much as himself.

There is something irresistible about a man who promises to love, honor, and cherish his wife as he protects and provides for their family.

A man’s behavior has powerful consequences.

Whoa! Heavy thought!

There is no doubt that men are leaders in science, industry, research, and religion. But that’s not all they lead in. Men have a major role in building our society. Unfortunately, they take an even greater lead in destroying it. Did you know:

  • 95% of those in prison are male.

  • 91% of drunken drivers responsible for accidents are male.

  • 98% of drug dealers are male.

  • Men hold the responsibility for teenage pregnancy, prostitution, and pornography.

  • Men profit the most from abortion clinics. (Hidden Value of a Man by Smalley & Trent, page 32.)

Within a man’s grasp is an incredible amount of power. That power can be used for good or bad. It’s a choice.

Sometimes, that power is one of life and death.

A man-whether a teen or an adult-has the power to abuse women or respect them. He has the power to break hearts and damage bodies or to protect hearts and care for bodies. Even if a woman desires sexual intercourse, it would be difficult for her to force herself on a man. It’s a man’s choice to perform the act that may leave a part of himself in the body of a woman.

The man who only wants to “score” can destroy the woman’s reputation. The man who satisfies his own pleasure can harden the woman’s heart. The man who “makes a baby” and then pays for an abortion murders his own child and places the woman in physical, emotional, and spiritual harm. Such behavior destroys society.

The man who sees women as persons to be respected is a man of character. The man who promises to love and cherish his wife for the rest of their lives is a man who will make the world a better place in which to live. Here is a power used for good which can affect a man’s wife, children, and society for years to come.

Playboy is a lousy “instruction manual.” Women are not toys to play with or objects to collect. Children are not proof of manhood.

“For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come” (1 Timothy 4:8 NIV).

The Bible offers better instruction when it comes to relating to women. In Christ, God’s Word empowers a man to build respect when he protects a woman’s reputation.

God’s Word empowers a man to build trust when he considers a woman’s needs before his own.

God’s Word empowers a man to build a future when he correctly understands the connection between the act of sex and the role of fatherhood.

Men! You can tear down or you can build up. It’s your choice.
