Presentation: Going Gracefully – Assisted suicide has become legal in Canada, California, Colorado, and our nation’s capital. Now Hawaii, Maine, and New Jersey have decriminalized it too. How can Christians compassionately affirm God’s gift of life in situations of pain, impairment, or advancing age? We’ll examine assisted suicide’s statistics and solutions, evaluate autonomy, pain, quality of life, and death with dignity, explore the Gospel’s better way, and offer suggestions for upholding life in congregations and communities.
