It’s that time of year again! St. Louis saw its first significant snowfall the other day and as the temperature continues to drop, we start dreaming of white Christmases, singing carols by the fire, and the joy of our Savior’s birth. Today I will probably bundle up and brave the cold for a little fun in the snow, enjoying the wonder of God’s beautiful creation.
Next month, hundreds of thousands of us will bundle up and brave the cold for a very different reason:
To call attention to the lives lost through abortion at the 2014 March for Life in Washington D.C.
Joining us this year, through the Y4Life program, will be six students. These high school and college students will leave their classrooms and travel across the country to make a stand For Life and learn ways to spread that message back home.
Before the March, these students will also have an opportunity to attend the Students For Life of America National Conference, the largest pro-life youth gathering in America. Here they will be inspired and equipped to educate their schools and communities about the sanctity of all human life.
Students who have attended this trip in the past have been inspired to do great things for life. A high school student from St. Louis is interested in working For Life full time after school. A family who homeschools incorporated life issues into their education after their experience. And a student at Concordia Nebraska was inspired to start “Bulldogs for the Unborn” on campus after attending the March for Life last year.
Every student who attends with Y4Life receives a $250 sponsorship to help offset his or her costs. This year we will be funding these six students, as well as four more sponsorships for a Lutheran high school joining us from Colorado, and we need your help to make it happen. Your generous contribution of a full or partial sponsorship will ensure that these youth get the opportunity to learn how to turn their passion into action.
You can contribute below or by contacting the Life Center and designating your gift for the “Y4Life-March for Life.”
I wish you all a very merry Christmas!
