A message to pastors … “Speak tenderly to Jerusalem” (Isaiah 40:1) is literally “speak to the heart of Jerusalem.” Pastors are not called to merely proclaim nice sounding words, but to speak to the hearts of their people, to those things that touch their very souls. This sermon encouraged pastors to include the life issues as “matters of the heart” to which the Gospel of Jesus Christ speaks so powerfully.
