Mary Zimmermann (LCMS) – LFL of Iowa – and her husband, Bruce, are the parents of three daughters. Their daughter, Sarah, is a pediatrician and on the Iowa Advisory Board of Lutherans for Life. Their daughter, Liz, is actively involved in LFL as the Santa Clarita, California, chapter president and works with a local caring pregnancy center. Their daughter, Danielle, is a student at Minnesota State University in Mankato. Mary is the president of LFL Iowa, has served as vice president, as a Life Ministry Coordinator, and as a regional director for Iowa. She is a business development manager for independent pharmacies, a writing teacher at Timothy Christian School, and active in LWML, director of the bell choir, and assists with youth at St. John Lutheran Church, Wellsburg. Mary has a B.A. from Wartburg College and an M.A. in Speech Communication Education from the University of Northern Iowa. In addition to being a teacher, she worked with the Red Cross in AIDS and substance abuse education and was a grant writer for several non-profit organizations. Her husband is an LCMS pastor who assists three congregations in rural Iowa. Bruce and Mary have three grandsons and one granddaughter.
