Clarence Zimmer (LCMS) and his wife, Arlene, are parents of three children and have two grandchildren. A graduate of Purdue University, Clarence retired from a career in business and engineering in 1996. He has also studied mathematics at the graduate level and has taught evening courses at a local community college. In 1989 he helped organize the Central Indiana LFL chapter and served as vice president of LFL of Indiana before becoming president in 1995. Clarence was a member of the National LFL Board of Directors from 1997-2004. He has served on the Indiana District, LCMS, Board of Outreach, and has held various offices at the congregation level. With experience as care-givers for a son with autism, (called home to the Lord at age 12) Arlene and Clarence were for several years active in Lutheran Disability Ministry of Indianapolis. They now reside in rural eastern Indiana where they are members of Bethany Lutheran Church in Connersville.
